The Pickle Shack story began, when, inspired by the alternative dining scene in London, Josh and Jodie thought it a crime that given the exceptional produce available in the West Country, the South West wasn’t keeping up.

And in July 2014, Josh and Jodie hosted their first pop up restaurant to a sellout crowd of over 100 people.

The popularity of Pickle Shack’s pop up restaurants didn’t wane. Pickle Shack soon become the only company in the UK to be running pop up restaurants as a full-time interest.

Being influenced by the Michelin starred restaurants that our chefs trained at, Pickle Shack food mixes traditional, local ingredients with modern cooking techniques giving our food a flair and style that you will only get from us.

Our Produce Promise has led us to meet a whole host of brilliant businesses and communities across the South West who are growing, nurturing and creating stunning ingredients. The commitment of these individuals has proven an endless source of inspiration within the Pickle Shack kitchen.

Our award winning contemporary food and versatile approach has recently enabled Pickle Shack to diversify into wedding and corporate catering and private dining too, and looking into the future, this ambitious little business still has a very long way to go!
