Introduction

Pickle Shack is committed to maintaining trust with all of our customers, subscribers and visitors to our website. We want you to know that we are not in the business of selling, renting or trading your data with other companies and businesses, not ever. But, to be even more transparent we have included in this Privacy Policy when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it and how we keep it secure.

Grab a hot drink and read on.

Google Analytics

When someone visits www.pickleshack.co.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site and see which parts you enjoy most so we can create more of the good stuff. This information is processed in a way that does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Children and Privacy

If you are under 16 years old you will need to get permission from your parents or guardian to register to our mailing list, use our catering services or buy tickets to our events. Sorry kids.

Mailing Lists

As part of the registration process for our occasional newsletters, we collect personal information. We use that information to send you the newsletter and we may contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information.

We use a third-party provider, ‘MailChimp’, to deliver our newsletters. MailChimp gathers statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s Privacy Policy here. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our newsletters or by emailing our data protection officer at jodie@pickleshack.co.uk

Links to Other Web Sites

Our web site contains links to information on other web sites. We can’t be held responsible for any information you give whilst on another website. Those sites are not governed by this Privacy Policy, and if you have questions about how a site uses your information, you’ll need to check that site’s own Privacy Policy.

Ticketing and Invoicing Data

When you purchase a ticket (or tickets) to a Pickle Shack event your name, email, contact number and any information you provide regarding any dietary requirements or food allergies will be stored in our ticketing system software, ‘Ticket Tailor’. The servers and databases that power Ticket Tailor are located in the EU and Ireland. They use a small number of third parties, some of which are outside of the EU, to provide their ticketing service and they have contracts with each of them that oblige them to comply with the GDPR. You can find the full list of these third parties here.

Should you wish to instruct Pickle Shack for outside catering services, we will need to collect your name, address, email, contact number and details of dietary requirements or food allergies that you or your guests may have. Your name and address is stored on our invoicing software ‘Kashflow’ which only Pickle Shack employees have access to (and is secured with two-step authentication). Your name, address, email, contact number and details of dietary requirements or food allergies that you or your guests may have will also be stored on our shared-drive so that our team – and only our team – can access these details when delivering the services you have contracted us for. We use ‘Dropbox’ as our shared drive, and you can read all about how seriously they take data security here.

Access to your personal information

You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold on you. Email your request to our data protection officer jodie@pickleshack.co.uk and she’ll get right on it.
